Or is it not worth it since you would never get to use the lounges unless you are doing personal travel?
I pay for united club access and I use it pretty much every tour.

I swap out of uniform once I get through KCM.

I dummy ticket every tour. Your duty ends the minute you say dummy ticket. It used to have to be the same mode of transport but they don’t even do that anymore it’s just a pot of money.

I’ve dummied from Jordan home and I dummied this tour home with a rental and united.

I’ve been told I dummy more than anyone in the company which I don’t doubt.

Default Seriously?

[QUOTE You usually won't have time for a drink with dinner or time to sit down and have a nice dinner.[/QUOTE]

Seriously? Are all scheduled days that full/long?

The average overnight at NetJets is about 13 hours, but that is only because it is common to be done fairly early on the 2nd to last day and then start very late on your last day. This artificially makes the average longer (the company has to pay OT starting an hour earlier if the average falls under 13). The reality is that most work days are long and you will likely end after dinner or you may have your schedule flip to super early the next day and have no energy to wander out to get dinner and drinks. This is the main reason I don't take an upgrade in any of the fleets I could hold. I stay an SIC in the Globals for a much better quality of life that does often allow for time to sit down for dinner and drinks and also time to get a workout in. This costs me a lot of money to avoid the upgrade, but it is worth it to not get beat up all tour long. Think long and hard before choosing a non scheduled kind of pilot job- especially when the pay is nowhere near keeping up with the airlines without subjecting yourself to way more work days and way more brutal work days.

I flew almost 40 hours this tour and still went out for dinner most nights.

The schedule flips are real, though I’ve started resolving those myself. Since we can’t mitigate anymore, I end up with a day and a half off when they try to do the 12 hour clock flip overnight.

Last tour it happened on an international segment. I’m sure that was a logistic nightmare. But at my age, I don’t need **** poor scheduling making me accelerate toward the grave.

For example, let's say that your family heads to Aspen to go on vacation before you finish your tour, you can request a dummy ticket and instead of flying back home and then out to Aspen, you can fly directly to Aspen on your last day and meet up with your family there.

Random testing for drug/alcohol screening has to be done while you're on duty, so they could tag you with a "stop by here on your way home and do your test." Dummy ticketing prevents this as you go off duty and are on your own when you dummy ticket. As for likelihood, I've been on property a year and a half and haven't had it happen yet.
Interesting point I have never thought about (Ive had my share of airport beers on my way home). The arguement I see is my company allows you to charge meals to company card "while on duty", the tell us once the plane hits the jet bridge at your domicile, you can no longer charge any meals. That to me sounds like I am off duty as soon as I arrive at the gate and therefore off duty. "Stopping by on your way home", you would be off duty at that point. What am I missing?

Travel is part of our duty day, including when traveling to home base. This means a pilot is entitled to overtime and after midnight compensation when applicable. A pilot may request to be taken off duty when traveling home. This allows alcohol consumption but the crew member does not get the previously mentioned pay benefits (with some exceptions - it can get complicated). On a normal last day, the crew member is turned off duty once their airline blocks in. But that is not guaranteed and the crew member is on duty until they get the official off message.

That also depends. If it’s between 11pm and midnight base time, you’re off at arrival even without an off message. Also if you’ve arrived and it’s 12 or more hours into duty, you’re off on arrival without a message.

But if you haven’t received a message when you arrive, you’re supposed to call and bug the screen readers for an off message.

It’s all in the CPM. One of forty documents you need to memorize, yet will receive no training on, to be an effective NetJets pilot.

I’ve had to have them adjust my off time when the airline is running late.
