It’s got the added benefit of being conveniently located exactly where you’re staying no matter how many times you rate it negatively.

Now get dinner, unwind, sleep, get up and get ready, now there’s traffic…this can only end badly.

And really the Hasbrouck Inn hasn’t flooded or caught fire in a while, so it’s sort of restful. All in all, it’s somewhat tolerable.
Fair points. I'm about 90 miles down the turnpike. Given that.....no, I would not want to drive home and back from TEB on a 7 day tour as it would be neither practical nor prudent. I'm much closer to PHL and PNE (< 30 minute) and ACY (45 min).

Just a thinking outloud…. Would it make more money to bid shorter schedule and pick up days or bid the longer tour to begin with?

Potentially more by picking up extra days at 2.5 pay, but none of it is guaranteed. VAWDs are seniority-based, so if you’re junior, not much chance. VEDs are company discretion. The whole point of our current contract improvement request is to raise the bar on guaranteed pay, not pay that can slip away in an instant.

But how am I going to retire with $26 million and a Phenom share if I don’t work 11/2?

Try driving back to route 35 on the parkway in the summer on a Friday.

I actually had to bid around that because it would happen.

It depends on you family life.

I’ve always lived close to base. Lots of time it’s just easier to go to the hotel. Kids, wife, all that jazz wanting you to stay up when you just want to crash.

But I’ve also dropped off laundry and fixed a few things around the house.

It really depends on how you’re felling that night.

Well that’s because the Bush isn’t retired yet. He loves to heap it in droves.

That's "The Shrub" just for the record. And Ignore is a wonderful thing...

Sadly, one of the worst recent offenders is actually a union poo-bah. Snark doesn't begin to describe it.
