Default Alpa Insurance

I'm curious if any of you purchase additional long term disability insurance from alpa, and if it's worth it. I'm 30 and fly for NK and was thinking about looking into additional coverage. Do any of you use this? Or anything else like loss of medical?

I am currently using the loss of license. I have two: the first one is monthly and the second one is a one time lump sum amount (which I think I will never see). The lump sum has a lot of stipulations around it. To name a few: 1. you have to have an official denial letter from the FAA (I never got that since my chief told me to ground myself once I was diagnosed) 2. If you go back to work within 3 years of them paying the lump sum - you have to pay it back. Either way, I think it would be worth it because you never know when something might happen.
