I could not ever imagine suing my parents because I want to go to college. OP, as you can see, it can be done on a lot less than what you make per month. You just have to be smart about it. I would definitely try to talk him into the CC at least for the first 2 years. Start saving for those 2 years in case he wants to go to a more expensive school and then you have cash to pay for it. If he likes the CC and decides to stay, then use the money and take a nice vacation or buy yourself something nice.
