He's right, jungle, you do come off as a bit of an elitist. Not that I give a flying flip about who's wealthy and who's poor, just so long as I'm getting paid for the work I do.

Some of us will spend our lives trading in emotions and lies and some will spend their time trading in facts and truths. Which group will do better?

Default If he could see England now .

“Civilization will not last, freedom will not survive, peace will not be kept, unless a very large majority of mankind unite together to defend them and show themselves possessed of a constabulary power before which barbaric and atavistic forces will stand in awe.”

Sir Winston Churchill-1938

Perhaps the wealthy are getting tired of being beat down upon by both ultra rich and poor combined .
I think the old man has asked this before so I,ll ask it again -
Ask yourselves why those who are wealthy also go after others who are also wealthy, anyone ever wondered about hypocrisy in this ?

Ally-
Not quite an elitist yet

Postal Service proposes cutting 120,000 jobs, pulling out of health-care plan - The Washington Post

If you want to blame this on greed or some entity which does not exist, you are certainly welcome to do so.

If you can see the economic reality at work, your chances of survival and thriving go up.

Either way, it makes no difference to me.

This is why gov't employees should not be allowed to unionize.

Buffett: Stop coddling the super-rich - Business - Personal finance - msnbc.com
There's nothing stopping anyone from sending a check to the IRS if they so desire to pay more in taxes ,makes me wonder what this guys real intention is .

Shack. I see all these rich activists all complaining how we should tax the rich, pay our bills off their backs.

Hey Michael Moore... the IRS is more than happy to accept your donation.

My favorite part --

"Back in the 1980s and 1990s, tax rates for the rich were far higher, and my percentage rate was in the middle of the pack. According to a theory I sometimes hear, I should have thrown a fit and refused to invest because of the elevated tax rates on capital gains and dividends.
I didn’t refuse, nor did others. I have worked with investors for 60 years and I have yet to see anyone — not even when capital gains rates were 39.9 percent in 1976-77 — shy away from a sensible investment because of the tax rate on the potential gain. People invest to make money, and potential taxes have never scared them off. And to those who argue that higher rates hurt job creation, I would note that a net of nearly 40 million jobs were added between 1980 and 2000. You know what’s happened since then: lower tax rates and far lower job creation."

P. T. Barnum and Buffett will both go down in history as exceptional salesmen. As long as you understand that the circus is not altruistic and the rubes will always end up paying full fare you won't get hurt too badly.

And make no mistake, they both run a circus very well.

Before most of us get very old, we learn to watch what people do rather than listen to what they say. Talk is cheap, but actions and performance tell the truth.

Just for once I would like to see the so-called talking heads on tv ask Buffet during an interview what I posted above .
Perhaps these people would be for an asset tax ?
