Cost of fuel
I'm watching a show on Discovery Channel about OIL.
One factoid mentioned that 9% of US oil production goes to jet fuel.
The airline industry uses 19 billion gallons a year.
If the cost of oil goes up 0.01 cent - then it increases the airline's operating costs $180 million!

I wonder if oil went down 0.01 would they suddenly have a surplus of $180mil?
Just have to find the right time to hedge.
