Oh sorry. I thought you read the first post. But former AF pilot, seperated with over 2000 TT in the tanker but with no ATP. Have commercial ME and instrument. But havent flown since seperation which was about 4 years ago. Nothing negative on record of any kind. Thanks.

The majors aren't nearly as picky as they were 4 years ago, but they will still want to see you currently flying.

12-24 months at a regional, and then you should be in the ballgame.

Well qualified? How much flight time does the average fighter pilot have? Have they been to busy, high density airports with more then two long parallel runways? Do they have experience with extended periods of imc and shooting approaches? Experience with arrivals and departures?

No, they have experience with things that are substantially more complex than that.
