So funny... so true! Another thing is the Air Force seems to have a broader definition of "fighter." In the Navy, if air-air wasn't a primary mission, it wasn't a fighter. Moot point now since the A-4/6/7 are gone.

Shack....Which is more a fighter; a, B-1 with four afterburners and supersonic flight or a F-117, with none of the above.

Au contraire, taken as it was meant... no need for emoticons. My statement, while intended as humor, was factual (it really was a saying in the late 80s after the release of Top Gun). No dog in the fight, but fighters were primarily support for the real mission of the carrier air wing in the days when "F" airplanes and "A" airplanes were different airplanes.
