Regional to Air Force Reserve?
#11
Another option is to go to OCS and get a non flying billet just to get your foot in the door. Lots of interesting opportunities in the Guard/Reserve, shorter commitment and you can still fly for the regional.
After a couple of years, you can look at your options:
try to get a pilot slot then;
decide the mil option isn't for you, resign and pursue better civilian opportunities;
pursue a dual track civilian flight career and an non flying reserve career
or some combination of the above.

Chances
Hey everyone sorry for bringing this way back from the dead. But I have a buddy who is 27 and is in the regionals with a 4 year degree. GPA is low on I think he mention some thing like 2.6. I was wondering if he has any chances at a reserve unit? He spend about 5 years enlisted in the army guard I think. Currently with about 1700 hours.
