About six months ago, the I spoke to Adreana Bazaan (sp?) at AFPC who told me that there was really a snowball's chance in hell (she put it differetently - but this was her point) of someone who took the VSP ever returning to active duty without an exception to policy. Now, it appears the actual "policy" may be allowable returns to active duty for those who took the VSP. I sometimes wonder if the AFPC training manual includes the following:

"......when answering a question, always answer 'no' to something that may sound like a good deal - even if you have no clue or are simply speculating. Saying 'No' is always preferable to indicating you don't actually know...."

I would not be surprised if the actual answer turns out to be quite different from what they are saying now. It may very well be the case that VSP takers are allowed to return sans repayment. Or, they may not, but I would hesitate to put much stock into the words of those who answer the phones at AFPC until you see a policy.

ALL Depends on when the SECDEF says enough- that he has more UAVs than operators- THEN- he WILL get operators, it will probably NOT be w/o needing VSP repayment vs forgiveness. This one is simple as it's WAY above the USAF's own chains. All the way above. They won't get the chance to screw it up, right.....

I haven't even seen a letter. I did a simple separation at the end of my ADSC, no waivers, VSP, etc.

Did the letters only go out to certain career fields, or VSP, or Palace Chase, etc?

That's awesome!

Riddler, if you are doing any Guard/Reserve already, that may be the reason why you didn't get the letter. It may have gone out only to people in the IRR.

YouTube - Air Force Baby

I like the caddyshack version better, but this one better applies to the thread.

Actually, that list is from the early 2000's. It's been up there ever since and they have never taken it down. Goes to show how much AFPC keeps their website updated.
