Default PCSM score

I am building my flight resume, and was wondering would it look silly to put my PCSM score somewhere on the resume? The resume isnt for the military its for a charter company but I am low time and am trying to build myself up as much as I can. My score was a 96, I know they're plenty of people with higher justy wondering if it would look good, or just silly? Thanks.

Silly with a Capital "S." Nobody knows what a PCSM score is unless they've been through the ROTC/OTS/AMS Pilot selection process...which is very few people. And if they do know what it is, you'll look like a tool for putting a military aptitude score on a civilian resume.

That's like going to McDonald's for a job and telling them they should hire you because you aced Burger King's Burger Flipping exam.

Go to your college, they should have advisers that help write resumes for recent alumni. When you have no work experience, your resume focuses on your education, so you list extra things like specialized courses you took or groups you were a part of or had leadership positions in. Write a little more about your non-aviation jobs. In corporate they care if you have customer service experience, especially with high-end customers.

The more experience you get in the future, the less you include about your education and more gets devoted to actual work experience.

This thread is priceless.

I don't feel like going through your prior posts: what'd you do with your 96 PCSM? Get picked up anywhere?

Good luck, amigo.

There are a lot of resume resources out there to help you out. You're on the right track with loading your resume with info that makes you different/more qualified. I'd leave the score off, but continue looking for strong additions. There is an "Ask the pilot recruiter" forum on here as well which is great. You can the greatest guy ever, but you'll never see the inside of the interview room without at a well written cover letter and resume. Good luck.

Edit: Maybe you weren't being sarcastic. So I wont get the thread closed yet. As for getting picked up, I applied to some Guard Units but long story short was late in getting my packet out so I would have to wait for next year. I just dont know if I want to wait 3 years to start UPT.

Not sure about ANG, but AFRC has 2 UPT boards / yr. Usually held 3rd week of Sept and March. There's plenty of units hiring, so make sure you get a bunch of resumes out there. PCSM is a good tool to screen w/ at first glance, so use it for mil but not civy. It's not universally accepted like ****?! Good luck!
