Make, Model, Type, ID help

I wouldn't worry too much about differentiating between the various models. I'm not military, but to me an F18 is an F18. Do you need different training events and proficiency flights to qualify in each different model?
At the end of the day, I don't think most people are going to care too much, but I'd say that it's really up to you how you log the aircraft. What they do want to see is that your flight times are accurate and honest.

The type of A/C is less important than type of Time- Multi engine, in command/PIC! Obviously your solo time is PIC. If you are an Instructor or NATOPS/Checkairmen- those times count huge, and have their own breakouts on some applications- you'll need to have each of those time types ready for apps also- UPS for example.
Sorties also get a multiplier, so if you log a 2.0, but turn in a hot pit- that's 2.0 plus 2 of the multipliers of .2 or .3 per sortie- so you get a 2.4 or 2.6 on the airline app for your total time column- keep an eye on that bonus feature...
If you are not an Instructor or evaluator then you could focus more on creating the logbook a/c types in detail- but- I'd study up on the company, sim and interview myself.
Irv Jasinski's book is a good read if you have the time but not the cash right now for interviewing prep services, while you save up for them.
