Hey, I am active duty air force and I can tell you that I know a guy who started UPT when he was 33 with an age waiver. Max age to start is 30, and the guard selects you when you are 28.5 or younger because it does take a year to a year and a half to get you into a class, but a congressman's military liaison aide told me that age waivers are some of the easiest to get.

I personally want to be a pilot, but I got medically dq'ed. Waivers for eye conditions such as keratoconus (even with perfect vision), depth perception, color blindness, and many others do not come with many waivers. My backup plan is getting my private at a mom and pop place, and once my military commitment is over (4 year commissioned contract), going to a 141 school that takes GI bill to get the rest of my ratings and see where it goes from there. I like how ATP sounds but they don't take GI Bill. As far as their regional hiring agreements, they only course you have to complete by ATP to get the lowered hiring mins is the Regional Jet Standards Certification program. Hope that helps! Goodluck

Hiya zona. I just wanted to post this link to you before I forget. Awhile back someone on here recommended & posted this flight school. I checked out the prices and they absolutely rock. They can take you all the way from PPL to Multi/CFI etc.
