Default Ramstein C-40 pilot slots

All,
Just wanted to pass along some information that some of you may be interested in. There should be two pilot slots opening up this spring at Ramstein in the C-40. Benefits: almost no deployments, great group of pilots, flight attendants make great meals, trips are all over europe, africa, the middle east, and asia, Ramstein is in Germany, ATP and 737 type included in your check out at Boeing in Seattle (approx. 45 days long), and the simulator is in Mallorca once per quarter. AFPC does the hiring so you want a good push from your CC to get it. Sorry fighter guys, but they will only accept Heavy MDS instructors (All that have been hired were evaluators).

Good Luck...

Pilots helping pilots man. I just want everyone to have an opportunity at a good deal when it comes along. We only have one HUD on our airplane, an old fashioned yoke, and a trim wheel that will bust up your knee if given the right situation.

Tanker-driver,
As long as your boss (CC) and AFPC will let you go I don't think there is any other requirements that I haven't mentioned. Best of luck bro.

The only thing better than that is flying the C-40 out here at Hickam Our mins our MDS IP and about 1500 hrs. Should be a spot or 2 opening up in the Spring. We are short on pilots in the C-40 also, as is Andrews, a bunch of their IPs just took the VSP and left for SWA.

If that doesn't tell you how bad things have gotten in the AF, out of 9 pilots in our jet, 5 applied for VSP, 2 got picked up, one of which a year before his commitment ended. One ended up Palace Chasing only a year after he got here! Two of them went to SWA, one to KC-135 ANG, the other to C-17 AFRC. So even in Hawaii flying a BBJ and not deployed...a dream assignment for most...guys are still sick of putting up with the way things are in the AF and punching. Not quite sure when the clue bug is gonna bite?
