Military guy making the transition

Last year, they gave folks in that situation a 1 year window to fix that with a temporary change to 61.99. That window expired at the end of August 2019. I took advantage of it and am now a current CFI again with multiple reminders on many devices to do my refresher clinics. Also doing everything in my birth month now...medical, DL, etc...
Here’s the thread from 2018, when this tempo change to 61.99 came out.

Yes, It's more about location for me as I'm on the East Coast and want to keep dead head time down. But I will for sure apply to all; Delta could easily be in my top 3. SW, I dunno, I hear they have very stagnant upgrade time and some have said they are not as military friendly as used to be. But I dunno, is that bad gouge? thanks for the response! I appreciate it.
Current upgrade opportunity is about ten years. Since SWA stopped hiring for 2.5 years in 2008, when those summer ‘08 hires all get offered upgrade, the timeline could drop to 7-8 years. When SWA brings 75 MAX8s back online, and doubles (or more) the size of LAX for Hawai’i routes, I could see upgrades sooner than that.
As to Mil-unfriendly, I don’t see that. At least half the pilots have been or are currently serving. Don’t forget, we have ten domiciles and one squadron(PHX)! Recently, one pilot brought (and won) a class-action lawsuit to bring SWA more fully into compliance with the requirements of USERRA. And all veterans get a groovy mil service pin for their tie!
For east coast, BWI is available either out of training or shortly thereafter. ATL and MCO will take a little longer. MDW isn’t a long commute while you try to get back east.
It’s a great time to try for the majors. Polish your apps, get some help, and try for all of them. You have no dilemma until you have more than one offer.

I believe you have some bad gouge re SWA.

Hello, all. Welcome to my first post. I'm a Coast Guard FW pilot making the big jump next Spring/Summer and am humbly looking for any advice from you sage aviators out there on how to set myself up for success.
Here are my stats:
TT: 4000
ME Turine: 3500
Turbojet: 900
GA: 500
Tickets: CFI/II (exp) A&P (10 yrs experience) AGI/IGI
Falcon 20 Type (No type available for the Casa 235)
Aircraft Commander in Falcon 20 and HC-144 (casa 235)
I'm signed up with MIL2ATP in January for their ATP + Emerald coast prep package so I'm squared away there.
My top three choices are: 1.FedEx 2. American 3. JetBlue but I'm happy to fly for whomever.
Primarily I'm looking for any advice on how best to time my separation from the CG with publishing and 'getting the call'. Of course that is a bit of a crap shoot but I'm just trying to lessen the potential employment gap.
I deeply appreciate any and all advice and words of wisdom and I can't wait to join you all. Thanks!!!

Slightly dated but this guy owns Emerald Coast. Publish your apps at least 1 year out.
