US Customs & Border Patrol Pilots

Could just be an oversight. 18 months ago when I applied the first time they missed my 5 point vet preference. Contacted them and they gave me a new NOR. I applied last week and am still waiting on my NOR. Good luck to you.

I applied last week for one of the posted "Aircraft Pilot" positions with CBP. I meet and or exceed all of the requirements.......to include 12 years in law enforcement.
So to my surprise, I get an auto generated email stating that I am ineligible because I do not meet the age requirement for the position listed.........I just turned 34 last month.
I returned to the posting and checked the age requirement on the announcement which is 37.
Is this just an automated goof, or is there something that I'm missing here. I am going to call tomorrow in an attempt to get some answers. I just thought that I would ask to see if anyone else had a similar situation. I also figured that it may take a while to get through in order to get an answer.
Thanks!

Anyone on here apply and get their score? I scored 100 this time around with 5 Vet points.

My other concern is that for all fed positions, retirees at major or above do not get veterans preference unless they are "disabled veterans." Does that fall under the 30% rule as well?

Did the NOR contain your questionnaire results? Also, it was my understanding that you would receive a NOR if you were found ineligible. All I got so far was the confirmation e-mail stating my application was submitted.

Here is what was in my NOR email. It states my eligibility expires this December, and does not say anything about not being eligible.
