For those who have applied in the past, when you get the email that says notice of results, is the rating in that email your actual rating based on your answers to the questions, etc?

The "NOR" score you receive is based on your answers, as well as your resume. Certain key words in your resume help score your application. Obviously, the higher the score, the more likely you are to get an interview.
As to the question about schedules, you are not gone nearly as much as an airline guy. There are some TDYs involved, but pretty infrequent. There are some day shifts, some night shifts, weekends, holidays.

Thanks, my rating is a 100. Is that good or bad?

that's a good score. That was my score back when I applied a couple of years ago. It got me an interview...

I might be wrong, but I think that's as high as you can get without veteran's preference points.

Well, I have 5pts Veteran's Pref on my application (should be getting 10 pts once I get my VA determination, but they do not give you that until you actually separate, and I separate end of July). I guess I will send in the 10pt paperwork when I get it. I start law school this fall, but thought I would apply anyhow just in case they call.

You can use a letter from your branch's medical community (like your flight surgeon) and it will count if you feel it would help getting the 10 points now. Are you already using the BDD program for the VA? If not - depending on where you are - it could take as much as 6-8 months for the determination from the VA.

You're sitting pretty good at 100 I'd say, but an extra 5 pts is 5 pts (and could make a difference, who knows). But as USMC said, I'd see what you can do to get that extra 5 pts added to your app. now rather than wait for the VA to run it through the wickets for final approval.

Any SA on who they're looking for this go around? I noticed they combined the airplane/helicopter/UAS announcement this time vs a separate one for the preds. Got a 95 w/5 pt vet preference, all F15/AT38 ME jet time which I'm pretty sure is what I had last time - no interview though.

Default CBP goof?

I applied last week for one of the posted "Aircraft Pilot" positions with CBP. I meet and or exceed all of the requirements.......to include 12 years in law enforcement.

So to my surprise, I get an auto generated email stating that I am ineligible because I do not meet the age requirement for the position listed.........I just turned 34 last month.

I returned to the posting and checked the age requirement on the announcement which is 37.

Is this just an automated goof, or is there something that I'm missing here. I am going to call tomorrow in an attempt to get some answers. I just thought that I would ask to see if anyone else had a similar situation. I also figured that it may take a while to get through in order to get an answer.

Thanks!
