I remember a guy with an 85 getting an interview in Jan/Feb 09', but the back story is that is was an interview for the UAS/AIA position, and there were not that many applicants.
Getting a call for an interview depends on where your score ranks you in the list when they decide to interview, thus the cutoff changes everytime.

This is the announcement that all the interviews in early March came from. I had a friend who interviewed and he specifically asked in the interview which announcement he was being interviewed on, and they said the UAS/AIA.

I ran into the pilots of the static displays from the MCAS Yuma, AZ airshow last weekend. Once I get the pictures developed I'll post them on line here. They had a few helos and a Piper Cub on display.
YES!! I'm still as jealous as all get-out of you guys applying!

There were two postings that both closed in Dec. 2008. One was for UAS pilots (non-6C-LEO, ie. did not have the age req.) and one was for UAS/AIA. Did not say anything specific in the first page, but on one of the other pages of the announcement it said specifically that it converted to an AIA position, and it had the 40yrs. age req. (this was 6C LEO).

I applied under the AIA announcement that opened early last year and was offered a UAS/AIA position in Sierra Vista.

Yuma Airshow, 14 Mar 09
I thought some of you lucky (and hopeful lucky) future CBP pilots might like to see a few of the agency's aircraft that were on static display at the MCAS Yuma AZ airshow. The pilot I spoke with was very nice. He joined the CBP 4 years ago as a ground officer and recently moved into the aviation service. He flies the Piper Cub and Cessna-208 (I think) and will be getting rotary wing qualified soon.

Sorry to post this so late in the discussion, but the scores that I keep hearing, are they the score assigned to the application verification email or the score after you interview? I applied last week, finally got the uploads right this time and am keeping my fingers crossed. I have been furloughed from my airline, meet all the requirements big time, but do have a ? about my medical. I have a first class, which has lapsed into a second...that is the one I faxed over..should I go and attain a current first class? Thanks to whomever has the intel on this in advance..socal.
