I will post up some info after my big day.
Somewhat true. The Cessnas have eaten several applicants in your situation alive. Also, some evaluators may expect you to be doing everything yourself, no CRM.

Good luck.

Thank you all. Rented a C172 from a local Flight School. Tried to get the instructor to quiz me on Part 91 etc but he seemed to be hung over from Thanksgiving, so didn't want to torture him too much. It was very beneficial to get the feel of a light airplane again. I'd recommend it for all who are driving the heavies.

CLUE32: From the time I applied on line to getting an automated response email was aprox 3 months. From the automated response to a phone call to schedule the interview was 3 weeks. From the phone call to the Interview aprox 6 weeks...thus from on line application to interview over 5 months.

I took my flight check in June. Not real sure how much I can remember. I know we took off and did a full non-precision approach with a missed and hold. They wanted to see a proper entry. Did some air work which included stalls, steep turns, slow flight, and simulated engine failure. Came back and performed an ILS with a go around. Had to fly a proper traffic pattern and then land. I believe that is most of the check. Hope it helps. Be prepared to act as though you are single pilot. No help with radios, etc...Good luck to all.

That sounds much like my friend's checkride. Single pilot? I've got that part down. I need help the OTHER way......right now I can't stand for someone else to be on my radios

No, you do one at another small airport close by and the ILS in OKC... I don't remember the airport name but it was within a 15 minute flight.

My VOR approach was to a 'phantom' field. A made up approach over some farm. That was Jan 2007.
