US Customs & Border Patrol Pilots

Congrats on the interview. Sierra Vista has Rotary Wing assets in addition to the Predators. Nice area. I lived there for seven months. Small town off the beaten path, but lots of out door activities and close enough to Tucson.

will CBP ever issue a "youre not hired" email?!? I interviewed back in July, and thought I did fairly alright, I havent heard anything yet. All my ref's were called and I got a great vibe from everyone interviewing me that day (the day after while commuting home, the IP that gave me my flight checkride said to expect a call soon, I ran into him at the airport...)
Anyways, I know only 1 of 5 people from my interview group were called so far...
I am all civilian and FW only, and interviewed for the jax/tampa/homestead spots.

I really think you're good, man. I waited about that long to hear anything. With a new fiscal year (1 OCT) there are always issues waiting for funding to land in various accounts, etc. My total time from app to FLETC was 13 months, but it's totally worth it. By far the best job I've ever had, with the best people and best mission. I do miss int'l catering, though...

Rent a car. I had the hotel drop me off and thankfully there was a guy to drive me to lunch. They strongly suggest driving yourself, I just didn't get that email. Didn't affect the interview though, still got the job. Just rent the car. The secretary won't look at you weird and you won't have to bum a ride for lunch.

I will rent a car then.
What time were you done with the process that day?

Thank you Deeb76, I'll look for your post. I'm a civilian contract pilot flying in Middle East. Will be back stateside in Nov but scheduled to go back late Jan. so if it takes a month or more to get an answer it would put me in the hair pulling situation of deciding weather to go or make up a sorry excuse and sell it to my company in order to delay my deployment. I expect some tough decision making ahead...but anything for steady/secure flying job.

decisions
I have tough decisions with my current employer also. I am trying to juggle flight training with my current employer and the interview process. This will be the last big push for the border patrol pilots for a while, maybe even years, the way it sounds.
