So in other words, you volunteered and networked your ass off... That's what it takes, good job.

This company has never used a conference call to announce anything of substance ever. This call is something more like an airing of grievances--the King and his men will give the peasants an opportunity to vent their frustrations, and make vague predictions of good fortune "in the months ahead" in an attempt to prevent the peasants from revolting and/or migrating to a rival kingdom

Hasn't the quarterly call been going on for a couple years? You guys are making it sound like a special occurrence.

Yes, but they stopped as of recently.

I don't think we've had one in a year. Then this new WO payrates and bam, a conference call.

Will be interesting to see how attached or detached management is to the current situation/hiring environment.

I'm guessing detached, like most regional management is.

Thanks! Add dumb luck to that list as well. Almost 2 years in and I still shake my head wondering how I got picked over so many other incredibly talented and qualified pilots that have worked their tails off just as much if not more so than I.

They have been happening; Maybe you missed the emails. The last two brought up the continuing issues with hotels, and the unfairness of the iPad situation.

My guess about this call will be mainly about the hotel situation. With the recent "security breach" in Leon and many more now using the complaint on API, mgmt will address it. Wouldn't surprise me if JO announces an LOA about hotel language. ALPA will allow him to do this to make him look like the good guy. If not an LOA at least he'll say they're improving hotel locations and brands.
This conference call is not about the pilots and the pay. It's for the whole company. So there will be your token mechanic and FA call in. But if you want to monopolize and control this call I suggest all of you participate and don't let JO off the hook like he did that iPad and new bonus monies.
