Marcin the world class recruiter says:
"This is simply false. We get anywhere from 125-175 applications a month. We are being selective with the new hires and have processes in place for hiring. …Marcin"
Selective meaning not English proficient or?

Here's my opinion on the news from Envoy/PSA and the reactions by ALPA and mgmt.
This will not force mgmt and ALPA to intensify negotiations. Mgmt will continue to stall while these uneducated negotiators accept table scraps. Those of you who think that any of this will accelerate into an industry average contract are fully confused.
If mgmt was serious in retaining any of these pilots since the TA there would have been some QOL LOA's to show mgmt cared. Mgmt has not made any measurable steps to improving pilots lives at this airline. What they have done was to spend what money they had on attracting new pilots with bonuses and iPad money. And good luck with grieving it with ALPA because they've said they won't fight that fight.
If you'd like to argue my opinion just look at the facts.
Same crappy hotels.
Same lowest industry pay.
Same inefficient schedules.
Same health benefits.
Same commuting issues if not worse.
Not one improvement since the last TA from mgmt to show the pilots they want us to stay.

Yeah, seriously guys. I never do this...but I'm just leaving the door open. All of you would be very welcome here at Envoy (and I'm sure the other 2 AA wholly owned). No reason to spend another day at Mesa. Let me know if I can assist in any way.

A lot of us that got here during the hiring spree of 13/14 are still under 1000tpic. I just can't bring myself to leave for anything other than a legacy until I've hit that number. I think a lot of people fall into that category. Once that hits the flood gates will open.

The PSA and Envoy guy are correct, make a pro / con list and follow the logic.
As far as people voting with their feet, they are, both CA and FO. I looked at my global seniority number and was a bit shocked. You get the honest opinion from the typical line pilot, everyone feels as if they are on the Titanic and the iceburg is on the horizon.

Here's the question I ask myself. Is it worth going to the bottom of another regional (and yes, that's exactly what Envoy and PSA are) and sit on reserve for several years for $8 more per hour? IMO, no.
For someone just starting out? I recommend Envoy. In fact I had a friend that called me to ask me about Mesa. I recommended Envoy to him.
