Well for the 70-seaters thing its UAs plan to comply with scope so we can max out our flying under scope provisions.

The extended over water is bc our current routes to RSW, MIA, HAV, FRP, and some Mexico are inefficient. Also, it would give us more flexibility on future routes. For example, RPA does MIA to Mexico and a lot of EYW with their extended overwater airplanes.

You realize extended overwater and ETOPS are very different things?

I don’t think he does, but I wouldn’t blame him. Those aircraft would be allowed to preform extended overwater ops, life rafts and crew trained on water evacuations, get your swim trunks ready, but they would not be ETOPS (Longer cargo fire suppression etc) you don’t need ETOPS to cross the Gulf of Mexico.

You are right.. I confused the two. That is on me. But I am man enough to say I misspoke. Corrected it. And if thats what you meant pangolin, then my bad.

But what I meant is extended over water.

Can also save a good bit of time when going from Florida up the east coast, don’t have to track the cut in at the Carolinas. An ETOPS 175 would be something, could do a mini fleet of jets from every east coast city, gas up in Keflavik and cruise on to Western Europe. Mini-Dubai.

Apologies if my tone was DB, my bad.

No worries. I dont mind being corrected. After you said something I looked it up. I dont mind admitting when I wrong. I rather be corrected then walk around saying the wrong thing (embarrassed) 😬

good luck with cutting the corner up there. 9/10 they Shut you down quicker than Mesa shuts down a reasonable pay scale. But if you can get filed on AR15 it’s a different story.

I signed with a 30k bonus. That committed two years. That brings the pay to approximately $51 an hour had I flown 1k hours per year. So for two years it’s $51 an hour.

Year 3 I get another $25k (at this rate I won’t be able to upgrade), which would make that flying be about $63 an hour.

So, no one here is actually flying for $36 an hour right now.
