You missed the entire point.

Why are so many Mesa pilots with competitive resumes being ignored by majors? Why isn't anything being done about the scam that is our UA CPP? Going to another regional - for many of us - means a commute where it wasn't necessary while at Mesa.

We should all be demanding answers.

We are as competitive as any other group of regional pilots when it comes to being selected by a major.

There's a word for this.

Theft

Seriously? Theft? By whom?

Age. There’s blatant age discrimination. Degree. Recency of training event.

AMERICAN - flow or no go.
United - CPP - and we have had people go there.
Delta - they have their flow like program, yet we have had pilots go there.

We have pilots being picked up by Frontier, Spirit, Southwest and all the cargo outfits. I know people who have gone or are going to these first hand.

This has zero to do with working for Mesa. Where’s the theft?

Easy to explain. Some folks don’t take the bonus. This way they can leave anytime they want with no strings. I know two Mesa new hires who did that earlier this year when CRJ training was delayed. They’re both on the line with other companies now.

Mesa pilots - by the numbers - are hired by the companies you mentioned far less than by other regionals.

I speak to qualified pilots daily (degree, PIC hours, community service, clean records, etc) - they've been applying for years and can't get a returned phone call.

CPP is a joke - and trying to argue otherwise is foolish.

No AA flow from Mesa? Why?

How many did DL take from Mesa? .001%?

FeDex? UPS?

Yes - it's theft. Especially when you compare our group to other regional groups.

No AA Flow because Mesa is not wholly owned. No theft there.

The CPP is the same joke at every regional. It’s better than nothing. No theft there.

I don’t have hard stats - and I doubt anyone does - as to hiring stats by the majors.

Ups - I flew with a guy hired by them last week.

FedEx - don’t know if any.

There’s still no theft. Who’s doing the stealing?

I’ve flown with many paper qualified guys. Talk to them for 5 minutes and their bitterness and victimhood is what’s killing them. But I don’t have any stats on that either.

Great.

Another one of managements' w*t dreams.

It's people like you that keep the rest of us from having nice things

No one owes you a job, you have to do more than check the boxes, and being lucky is the other 50% of the equation. With the majors, as an off the street hire, they do practice age discrimination. I was told before I even started my private pilots license that I would want to get on at a major before the age of 32. Luckily I have zero desire to go to one.

I’m not doing anything to you. I’m asking you to define this theft. Where is it? Who’s stealing from you? I didn’t defend ANYTHING. I’m giving you an opportunity to explain your point.

I know of two picked up by Fedex within the last year. So it is possible.

I mean, I feel if you think about this for even a moment you could come up with the answer yourself. What three companies have a flow to AA and who owns said companies?
