I think we're all making a big deal out of this. The email simply said if you have an iPad 2 or 3, just don't update to iOS 10 yet. That's all. They're working on a fix.

We have a ton of pilots with 2's and 3's. If they all of the sudden couldn't fly, a quarter of our flights would cancel, minimum. I can't imagine anyone would let that happen.

Interesting Envoy and PSA just upped the game with raises for year 1 FOs to $37 and $38.50 respectively. Wonder how Mesa will respond. If they do nothing, the company will begin to hemorrhage pilots ala Republic. Cant wait to see.....stay tuned.

With the new hire and retention bonuses, (and if you get someone to refer you and split it with you), first year pay at PSA is $60,000.

$60,000 first year pay is game changing.

Well, Endeavor, SkyWest, Republic, Compass, and a few others have already been head and shoulders above us for quite some time, I can't imagine adding Envoy to the list will change much. Allegiant got a good new contract too; no mass exodus out of PHX. Makes you wonder how much we're slaves to seniority.

Management will do nothing of substance, most likely. Maybe we'll get another TA in a year that's a slight improvement upon the last, but I can't imagine we'll ever be offered the new industry average when they wouldn't even come close to what industry average was a year ago.

This right here is reality here.

Mesa is backed into a corner and can't get out. Not even declaring bankruptcy at this point will reverse course. They are about to bleed pilots in a bad way...guys can now go to Envoy and make $58,000+ starting out, much more money over the next couple of years, flow to AA with no interview and still be based in DFW.

There is nothing JO can do now but sweat in his panties.

There will never be a mass exodus out of PHX. Pilots will fall all over themselves trying to get based there. When I left to upgrade back in February it was something reDONKulous like 12 years just to hold reserve CA there. Yeah I get it, it's nice weather and the women in Scottsdale are cosmetically molded to perfection, but it ain't worth spending your entire career at Mesa over.

It's sad that first year pay at other regionals is nearly equal to what I make as a third year captain here. I've always been staunchly opposed to lateral moves but I may actually consider it now. If they tell us to get new iPads then that may be the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. This is just getting ********** pathetic.

It's a start but it's far from game changing

Well it is nearly 3 times what a first year FO here makes, so there's that. Of course that is not counting those CBA-circumventing referral bonuses, which I refuse to participate in and so should you.
