The hours are coming from Air Whiskey that they cant handle and they are being spread around. What he can't figure out is the flying is all getting shifted so everyone is covering someone else's flights to cover the Whiskey flights.

Just leave it to the 61 year old to not get it and Happy Bday to him as well this month.

Funny. Why would any Mesa pilot tell an ExpressJet pilot that Republic was taking our flying in an ExpressJet jumpseat....

Republic and Mesa and SkyWest flying is scoped limited for United. The number of 70 seaters and 76 seaters is fixed in the United’s pilot contract.

ExpressJet and Air Whiskey and other 50 seat operators don’t have the same scope limitation with United.

If Mesa (or Republic or SkyWest) are picking up flying from Air Whiskey, it is because we have excess capacity —- not because we have or can get more aircraft (unless we add CRJ200’s or E145’s to our United operation).

Like all of the other ExpressJet guys, I am sure he is thinking about jumping ship —- and probably thinks that Republic is the best route to go.....

Per the scope are they able to swap 700’s for 175’s without adding more a/c to mainline?

The E175SC is a 70 seat configuration of the Ejet.

I meant the Ejets might be to replace GoJet’s 700’s, as opposed to our 700’s.
