A 'state of the art' training center, of which Mesa's is not, is worthless when you staff it with people who aren't trained in the art.

Free mediocre food is better than buying overpriced mediocre food in the hotel bar.

The Graduate is really nice to if you like to work out. The University across the street lets the Graduate guests work out for free. And it's a huge, really really nice gym. Probably the biggest gym I've ever used.

Eating wise, there are a ton of choices around there. The worst part of the hotel is that the transportation can be slow.

I’d rather not eat than gorge on crap hotel food. The breakfast eggs usually aren’t real (they’re primarily made of rehydrated Soy protein) and half the time the food is microwaved junk food full of preservatives. Bring your own food if you want to be healthy in this profession!

Hotel Bars are generally overpriced.

I never paid a dime at the Graduate hotel bar, other than tipping.

Every day not needing room service gets you $5.00 coupons, which add up fast for delicious tacos and craft beer.

The 5 different breakfast choices at the Normal Diner are cooked fresh.
That's free also, and beats your «mediocre» La Quinta Buffet style.

Was it just me or was that akin to reading something an 8th grader would write? It seemed very simple in its working and seemed like something off of an essay as opposed to an article.

Anyway maybe I’m just tired.

Upgrades are out.

The Ejet dropped two months from 23 to 21 months to award. The CRJ increased to 13 months to award.

Mesa’s Ejet upgrades continue to slightly trail Compass’ upgrades. The CRJ upgrades lags the industry, where street captain awards are available.

Question

Does anyone have any insight as to whether or not DFW is still being awarding as a domicile during training? I read somewhere that Dallas got popular all of the sudden and now it’s got a waiting list. I’ve put in my application, but won’t be able to start until late September or early October due to knee surgery. I’m just trying to see if Mesa is a good fit and DFW as a base makes them pretty appealing.

It seems that FO’s are being awarded DFW before they finish training. They might start with IAD or SDF, but by the end of training, they are awarded DFW.
