I'm making great money right now while building 121 PIC time quickly.
With the unstacking going on right now, most commuters have limited to no life, as you call it.
Sacrificing 4 off days to double my income is a pretty good payoff in my view.
If things continue this way, I will time out upon reaching 1000 hours and have a month or more "vacation" while getting paid min credit.
Works for me for the time being.

I have never figured out how pilots get suckered into going a place where if you get a desirable base, you sit on reserve for a year.

In IAH, we don’t know what a CA reserve is. They reduced flying some in Feb, but it is still higher than Dec. And, we have the bottleneck on Ejet Training.
