Actually, I'd love Phoenix- but I'd rather have a line than be condemned to a decade or more or reserve!

Just to clarify, you won't get Phoenix. You'll get the slots left behind as DFW captains go to Phoenix, thereby leaving an available DFW captain slot. If you want a line, go to the ejet.

So do the DFW slots vacated get filled at the same time as this standing bid? Or do they open those slots the next bid? DFW lost several captains last month but there weren’t any on this bid- and judging by the staffing issue... seems like they need people

Ok.. I think i understand that. So if the 6 slots for PHX captain will go to current captains who want that base.

Ejet upgrades increased a month in the latest standing bid from 21 to 22 months - partially due to the reduced number of upgrades and partially due to the increased number of CRJ FO’s coming over.
Did I miss something in the standing bid? I didn’t see any CRJ upgrades. Must be a mistake or I am misreading it.

5 IAD spots on the standing bid notice, none awarded.

Not that I understand this completely. Is this saying no FO bid for an upgrade to IAD on the CRJ? Or, that Mesa just didn’t need to award anyone an upgrade?

Wow! A CA told me the reason they were opening an ATL base is that Mesa will not open a IAD Ejet base because Mesa has to allow all the IAD CRJ pilots come over to the Ejet. And, Mesa can’t do that or they would lose all of the current IAD CRJ pilots as they move over to the Ejet.
All I know is if it weren’t for the CRJ crews in IAD we would be in much worse hot water with United. The IAD CRJ crews covered tons of our Ejet flights. Too bad we are just livestock for Mesa and they don’t try to make our lives a little better.
Based on the pilots I have spoken to from the East coast, ATL will be a senior base. Tons of guys planning to bid for it.
