The board has been quiet the last couple of days. I guess that's what happens when Mesa goes from scheduling us for 76-79 hours a month to 100 hours per month, huh? The ability to get some time off would be such a luxury!

While I was there, I flew with a captain, he did that for two reasons. 1) Overblocking, 2) so he can have more PIC time. Yes, he was recent upgrade. But the sad part was, he taxied so slow, people missed their connections. On day 3 of our 4 day trip, my classmate was behind us, and it was his go home day. He messaged me that we are taxing to slow and he's going to miss his commute home. The captain, told me tell him " Shut the F up, it's more flight time!" However, on go home day for us, he taxied fast and first one to jump off the plane. On Another note, i asked him, if any FO ever complained about him taxing so slow. He said "No, but on his last tips, FO looked at his watch to make a point, he slowed down even more" He also said, that if someone ever tells him that, He will tell them, Shut the F up". I was like, wow, I can't believe what i am hearing. I hated that trip and the captain for his attitude. Unfortunately, I had 2 back to back trips with him. But then he went on my no fly list.

As for your reasons to pass upgrade...to each his own, but that’s not the norm. I wonder how many FO’s have you on their no fly DB captain list.

I don’t understand why some pilots have to be such morons. Common sense clearly doesn’t exist in their brains. If the flight is a few minutes late, don’t be a dick and taxi riding the f*cckking brakes. Some people might actually have a connection to make. Do you idiots who do this think about those passengers behind you? Did it ever occur to you that they might be trying to get somewhere important?..perhaps see someone in the hospital or something? If a few minutes of extra PIC time is worth inconveniencing passengers, then go fly cargo where you can be as self centered as you want. I have flown with these idiots who fly at .70 on a 2-3 hour go home leg and then taxi riding the brakes. You know how much extra we blocked? Maybe 5 minutes, yet we spent an extra unnecessary 20-25 minutes in the plane on day 4 going home. Toolbags like that are the plague of pilots.
