Are you guys on reduced flying? Seeing a lot of e175s sitting around in IAH.

At the end of the day, it’s all about time at home and lots of money in the bank. If your decision making takes you in a different direction, you are doing it wrong. You only have so many working years, and probably fewer than you realize when you lose your medical. Why would you do the same exact job for less?

To all the "yes" voters. I told you so. Do you get it yet? You sold your soul for a case of top ramen. We tried to tell you juicy steak was waiting... You will never get such an opportunity again. You blew it.

What happens when 9E and the AA WOs have shiny new pay rates and improved soft pay next year? How does Mesa staff with the current contract?

They'll just keep increasing the NH bonuses and continue offering 300%

Sure they'll try that. But what about when new hires see that they can upgrade as soon as they hit 1,000 hours pretty much everywhere and everywhere is offering $25 /hour more? I'm not trying to bust your balls herr, I'm just genuinely curious if Mesa (or any contract carriers) will be able to pay...

They won’t do anything as long as the flying is covered which is pretty much what they’ve been doing for the past few years. They always have tricks up their sleeve the like perfect attendance bonus they reinstated for oct. We’ll just keep carrying on like we have with the RSV grid perpetually red. I’m sure that’s what they prefer. Less reserves = less pilots on the payroll. They know exactly what they’re doing. Hopefully I’m wrong.

MESA will out last all the WOs Endeavor and even Skywest. This is where everyone will go when they can't get to any other regional LCC or mainline.

Default interview

Did Mesa do away with the skype interview? I submitted an app and received an email with a date to interview at their training center. Unfortunately it's next week in the middle of the week and I can't get off work that quickly.
