I filled out the application online and uploaded my resume. Recruiting called me on the phone before I even finished the application. Spoke with them for a bit then, and after submitting application online, got an email invite to skype interview the next day. Did that and received an offer before we hung up.
I’m an older corporate guy with lots of experi nice- no telling if they have any preference fo folks in my shoes.

1. You will never see the $20,000 bonus at the end of 3rd year at Mesa.
Reason: You will be eligible for Captain upgrade by then with well over 1000 hours in 121.
2. The most junior Captain in PHX is a 2008 hire. Mesa recruiting website falsely states 2013 hire. That Captain went back to DFW three months ago.
So beware and verify what the recruiters tell you.

Figure there's 6-700 fo's ahead of you as of today. By the end of the year we will hav 0 growth and just upgrade for attrition. Assuming 10-15 upgrades a month (and I'd say that's pushing it). You can do the math. Any of this can chsnge at any moment. More aircraft would increase upgrades Losing aircraft cuz we can't staff would decrease upgrades. If mainline actually started hiring our captains. Things like that. My realistic guess 3 years for anyone hired today.

During my Oral, the check airman said, "see you in four months for upgrade." That was pretty much exactly what the recruiters were saying.
I resigned recently as an FO. There were still a large number of FO's who were eligible to upgrade in front of me. They never got to my seniority number.
Not a sob story - I never believed them to begin with, so I wasn't disappointed. Just thought it might help you understand what MIGHT happen, and to keep the hollow promises from the recruiters in perspective.
Mesa is simply not a good company to work for, especially when you compare it to other regionals. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we found out that the only purpose for Mesa's existence in the marketplace is for industry CEO's to find out just how far a company can push its pilots.
My opinion, but it was THAT bad.

Here's an idea for you newcomers that decide that you STILL want to come to Mesa no matter how atrocious it is....when these recruiters lie to you and fill your head with these glorious images of the wonderful things in your future such as being in the left seat in a few short months, tell them to put it in writing. That'll shut them up fast, I'd imagine.

Is it possible for a junior FO based in PHX or DFW to get a block of days off such as six or seven days in a row rather than doing 4on/2off throughout the month?
Are upgrades to CA really happening in 12 months?
Is it possible to work a little extra and get 90 to 100 hours of credit?
How is the medical insurance plan for a family of four?
Monthly premium? Yearly deductible? Maximum out of pocket? Etc.

Having control over your schedule right now is virtually non-existent because of "un-stacking". What that means is that you bid your preferences, but because of short staffing, those preferences can't be honored. They just schedule each pilot as close to the maximum hours allowable (FAA max 100 hrs/mth) as possible. Expect to be scheduled to 95+ hours. 11 days off.
Beacuase the reserves are in the negative, meaning no reserves, and uncovered flying, you don't have the ability to make any changes to your schedule. You get what you get.
Trying to get big blocks of days off probably won't work in this short staffed environment.
300% is being offered. But because you are scheduled to the max, there is no room to pick any 300% flying up.

Medical insurance for a family of 4 will be approx $1200/Mth out of your paycheck.
Hope this helps.
