I would say, expect 11 days off. Be pleasantly surprised if you get 12, possibly 13.

Mesa is understaffed and getting worse by the day. You will not get days you want or need off. You have ZERO schedule flexibility. You will be scheduled to the FAA maximum of close to 100 hours.

For guys new to 121, the reason for ZERO schedule flexibility is that you will not be able to drop or even swap trips. The reserve level is set and if there is a net NEGATIVE reserve level, that basically shuts down the ability to make schedule changes. The negative reserve level has been the case for most of this year.

Sample schedule
4 On
2 Off
4 On
2 Off
4 On
2 Off
4 On
3 Off
4 On
2 Off

Plan on 5 four day trips per month.
Plan on 11 days off per month.

You can check out the last few pages of the Mesa - Scheduling thread for more info.

Ejet upgrades have dropped to 23 months from 25 months. I wonder if this trend will continue or if it is just an upspike due to the new Ejet arrivals.

This is a serious suggestion for every commuter at Mesa. Try to work all your days on the road consecutively, and try to get all of your days off consecutively. For commuters, it may allow you to enjoy life again if crew scheduling is willing to work with you. This is how my current company does things and I am in love with this concept.

Oh no, pepole do it all the time and they're insane for it. Just look at the results, you waive EVERYTHING and you can get 8-12 days in a row.

I agree. Knowing how to bid, waiving the parts that prevent it, and having the seniority to get it will allow you to work many a days in a row and get many days off in a row. Check out the PBS awards, you'll see some pilots that work 2 weeks in a row and then get that off. However, not as common right now with the unstacking going on.
