Something a little different.... I saw on the FB recruitment page that the company is now sponsoring visa's from Australia.

Wow, the race card and the trump card in one sentence. I am not pointing a gun at any one dude. Helping out with some suggestions and educating the public.

All these people telling Mesa pilots to vote NO, don't even work here. Like the Russians meddling in our elections.
How in the world do you know these people do not work at mesa. Is it because they are not subscribing to your BS??

Mad Props to J.C. for being forward on his email today. Glad someone out there is willing to stand up against the system and say that it still isnt enough. maybe better but not there yet.

The company is not sponsoring work Visas. It is my rough understanding that Australians, in addition to citizens of other selected countries, can obtain a U.S. work Visa on their own without an employer acting as an sponsor. What Mesa is doing is simply inviting Australian pilots to get Visas on their own and then come to Mesa. There are several foreign pilots working at different airlines in the U.S. with said Visas. This is nothing new.

It is also my understanding that sponsoring a work Visa is somewhat complicated and costs money to the sponsor. Companies usually do this to bring in valuable talent that is scarce in the U.S. They day you see airlines acting as sponsor for foreign pilots you can officially say there is a pilot shortage. In my opinion, it's never going to happen in the U.S. I think is easier, and possibly cheaper, to double up current wages, and maybe cut back some flying before sponsoring work Visas.

I have no dog in this fight but they need to address your health insurance at minimum. I never seen any company pass that amount back to the employee. This contract shouldn't pass on that alone.

If it's the IAD rep, stand-up guy. What did he say?

Random but I can't believe they did a profile on that PHX mechanic in the Mesa Newsletter. Easily one of the worst people I've ever met.
