If this thing gets voted down now, there likely won't be another TA for two more years, looking at the glacial pace of negotiations. That's $12,000 I would be losing out on.

I'm sorry but this is Mesa and we're always going to be bottom of the barrel with JO at the helm. Take what you can now, and do your best to find employment at a better airline in the meantime.
We all want more. But we have to look long term. There is no way this can go on for another two years. The company and the union understand this. If you are in the Jumpseat on mainline and the subject comes up can you with a clear conscience say that you voted yes on this contract? Now fast forward and you find yourself across the table at an interview and one of the people there is someone that remembers you and remembers you voted yes on this contract. Oops, now what? Now you just a lot more than that $12,000 you want so bad.

They don't care. It hasn't hampered Gojet or PSA pilots getting to the majors. Most mainline guys don't give two sh&$s about regional pilot contracts.

No one should ever be afraid to vote yes or no based on a future job. If a pilot truly feels one way or another, then he/she should vote as they feel.

You say mainline pilots do not care what happens at the regionals? Here is a copy of a post on another thread by a legacy pilot regarding this TA.

"Lowering the rates of future pilots. Do we never learn? This has been done before. Back in the day, it was called B-scale. How could your MEC let this even go to a vote?

Full disclosure, I've been at a legacy almost 10 years, but I have been following how regional pay has been rising. Then you guys do something like this and set the regionals back again."

And if they are so concerned abt feeding their kids, their mistake was sticking around Mesa for so long. Its very arrogant for someone to be throwing their kids in as the reason for taking a substandard contract. If it was so bad then u get to a better regional with better pay for the SAKE of ur kids. To each their own, but don't use ur kids as excuses for accepting being underpaid.

why you guys are so worried, that's why it's a vote system, everyone have the right to vote the way they see fit, if you guys are so worried get the Russians to help you rig it in your favor.

I have the right to vote any way I want. I'm just sharing my opinion, which many others also share. Your threats of intimidation go against the spirit of the vote. You might as well lift every passing pilot by the collar and shake them down.
