Mesa 3.0

I'm voting yes. I want that money in the short term. At my longevity, it's about $500 more a month, which equates to $6,000 more a year. I don't expect to be here more than another year or two. If this thing gets voted down now, there likely won't be another TA for two more years, looking at the glacial pace of negotiations. That's $12,000 I would be losing out on.
I'm sorry but this is Mesa and we're always going to be bottom of the barrel with JO at the helm. Take what you can now, and do your best to find employment at a better airline in the meantime.

But we would be. Do you remember first year making $22/hour having to eat fig bars from the plane for dinner because you couldn't afford a ****in meal? Because I do. $36/hour is actually livable. What if something happens to the industry where Mesa isn't in a position to give out these bonuses anymore (which are completely bogus) and we're back to giving first year FOs $22/hour again? That would be awful.

Looked at the contract and for 7 years of negotiations that is all you get? LOL! If I was still at Mesa it would be another no vote. In 6 months you will have another TA... JO needs it. They are giving 300 percent for overtime right? Well you vote this in, they will be able to get FO's so you won't have that 300 percent anymore. So you might as well keep asking for more money then what this thing offers...
I think the MEC did the right thing letting you vote on it but I would vote no and send it back for more. Keep these guys though as they are heading in the right direction.
Two changes I would want to see are the pay rates to be the same DOS instead of taking 2 years, as well as a few bucks higher which would still be below industry average. Second, better health insurance coverage like excluding the FA's and making it pilots only. Then you would get a yes from me.

Thank you for your concern but Mesa will never get anything as good as your current airline. So your opinion is invalid.
