mesa Foreplay
I guarantee that Mesa is pulling some shenannigans and is trying to back out of this MOU/TA. Just another circle jerk with the mesa pilots as the pivot man. MEC while you are in session, get a strike vote approved, notify American's union, United MEC, and your SPSC up to bring them all up to speed, get strike / call centers approved. Start getting job fairs lined up, resume building seminars and maybe priority hiring if possible from both of your code share partners. Hopefully Im wrong but we have seen mesa do this kinda stuff before, nothing has changed.....

That's what I hear they used to have. They haven't been giving it out anymore as far as I know.
I went through training in the past year, went through IOE and received a bonus. No contract signed at any given time. Recruiter even said there wasn't a contract. There are people in my class who were going there for bonus and currency and gtfo. Maybe it's changed back to a contract with this recent 30k bonus, but they're desperate enough to not want to deter people away with a training contract.

signed a promissory note promising to pay for your training. This was a bonus repayment agreement. I have friends who came when the bonus was $18k a few months ago and another friend who started yesterday under $30k. Both were asked to sign bonus repayment agreements.
You are misinformed.

I couldn't agree with you more. I've said it before in union conference calls. The MEC has been in bed with mgmt from the start. Let's ask this question. Why hasn't the MEC put together interview prep workshops, preferential hiring at other ALPA carriers, or special job fairs. This MEC has never wanted to rock the boat. I feel like this TA will fall short like the other one did almost 2 years ago.
Your MEC with AH as a Chair will always be controlled by Management
