What I'm saying is that company would cost the ability to bid crj-erj as a high-dollar item among negotiating items. If a lot of folks thought THAT was important enough as to forego more/better improvements elsewhere in a potential agreement, it would be stupid in my opinion.
We all know the company is looking at the cost of bidding crj-erj....but what if another real problem is Houston pilots or FO's waiting to upgrade on the erj wanting to keep their seniority? I've heard there are a lot of pilots who will vote no to keep their super seniority in Houston. Complicates things a bit....

Outside of the initial cadre, have any E-Jet captains bid back over to the CRJ? It's my understanding that you can do that after three years. If there's a big shift, I'd fly whichever aircraft gives me the best seniority. If CRJ to E-Jet bidding is allowed, they should be ready for people going the opposite direction as well.

With the increased bonus it doesn't look too bad financially.
(Though I will look for other healthcare options)

The only question I have is if the training contract is still in force?
Stay a year and think you get to keep the bonus??? LOL

This so called TA mentioned recently will have to address ALL the problems here. The pay of course is one of the top ten issues must be industry standard across the board with adequate annual increases based on cost of living. What we saw in the voted down TA related to compensation had better be rewritten entirely.
This pleading poverty crap we continue to hear had best not be uttered again as this goes forward. The engine overhauls, CRJ CA to E-jet cost, etc... This is part of running an airline. New airplane on property should have allowed anyone to bid it. JO has created all this himself and why should the pilot group pay for it.
To the union people- Why are you all not representing us as a pilot group instead of insuring YOUR job is safe. You know you all do it for the most part and that makes me sick. You all should look in the mirror a little more often and see the piece of crap you have become. I don't aim this comment at all of you, just the majority, and you know who you are.
I hope this TA is not same BS that the previous MEC endorsed, hint hint AH.

Wow you really gave a constructive answer.

So the main question was about the training contract. Still in force? Yes or no please.

As of right now they aren't having new hires sign a contract for the bonus. If you signed one in the past they can and probably will enforce it.

You do realize that union posititions are all on a volunteer basis, right? They only get paid the trips they have to drop because they're doing union business. Do you volunteer? Do you show up to meetings? When I was at Mesa, there was rarely more than 5-7 non union people that ever showed up. Have you seen the pictures from the picketing event in dfw? What was there, 10 people there?

IAH is the biggest base now. If you see CRJ to EJET bidding without another base being opened up, you'd better believe that TA is gonna get voted down.
