$500 at an 80-hour line is a $6.25/hour raise. That's nice and all but I don't like that JO just gives what he wants when he wants willy nilly. This should be in a contract, not just during peak times, and even for the people who run into commuting difficulties, sickness, or upgrade. A $6.25 raise is still well short of our peers as well...

Maybe it signals the start of capitulation, and that would be nice, but it's still unilateral change from the status quo outside our contract during frustratingly prolonged negotiations.

Default The jokes on us

That 500 is nice but it's actually about 350 after taxes
The hotels aren't taxed
La Q is 80 a night in iah
Heyyyy I'm losing money on this deal
Hey I'm not surprised this doesn't work out better for me

Mesa promoting something that actually makes you worse off. Big surprise. That extra $500 for absences under 5% is also just for show. Nobody is going to see that.

The peer pressure angle of it is pretty sinister. I expected him to copy Spirit management's playbook; I didn't expect him to copy Spirit pilots' playbook.

Not that it effects when I call in sick, but do you think you're worse off because of extra money?!

When they did the incentive over the holidays I used all of my hotel nights down in Puerto Vallarta. I highly recommend doing that. Mesa uses the same hotel there as United so you know it's nice!

What's the skinny today? So far 5% of Mesa flights cancelled; 25% delayed.
Flights don't seem to be wx related.
