Nope I'll never forget where I started, but there's no reason you should choose Mesa Short of living in base. Their contract is miles behind the other regionals both in pay and QOL. If Mesa is the only one willing to hire you then that's already a red flag in my opinion

Good brother, Not defending poor QOL or Benefits @ Mesa , but at the end of the day wherever a NH goes is up to them to make that decision if you wanna make them aware of all crappy stuff is OK , but don't judge the guys because they want that "juicy bonus" at the end of the day JO is paying the price for an unsustainable situation. Safe travels

Just FYI for some of you, the recall of EL had nothing to do with the letter. A FO had put the pieces together that some magical way EL ran unopposed and started to research how that was possible. Found out other people were nominated but somehow not on the ballot. Found out that the nomination ballots were counted by EL at an LEC meeting that had a one email notice and was held at a hotel that was not located at the airport unlike most meetings that are normally held at the DFW airport hotel. Furthermore found out only 2 or 3 people were present at said meeting and saw that more than just EL was nominated as a captain rep. But yet he counted and somehow ran unopposed. Then didn't seal the envelope with the ballots, and instead carried them with him to the national Alpa meetings.
Said FO then became irate and investigated only to be told some people knew about it and some people said meh who cares. Then they wanted a recall to have a new nomination process and a chance for a legitimate election. Once again the recall had nothing to do with the letter.

Well that comment came out of the blue. Your statement it had nothing to do with the letter is incorrect. But the letter was not the only reason the recall got requested.
As far as ballot fraud. National looked into the claims and wrote a very lengthy response about the investigation. I had a copy of it with me at the meeting for anyone to see.
Finally, based on the vote at the meeting regarding the recall it seems the vast majority of the pilots in the council want Erik to stay and expressed as such. So at this point, it's time to move on and unify behind our leaders.

My 2¢ anyhow.

So ELs in the union position for himself??? You really believe that? YGTBSM !! Please elaborate on that because I'd love to hear how anyone at his age and with his seniority here would be using it for gain. For what? To pad his resume in order start all over again as an FO for half as much money at some other airline? Say Spirit, for example? Oops, bad example. Or is it because of all the extra money he's being paid to be a union rep? Do tell us how he's personally benefitting ... or any of the other reps for that matter. Not sure what your own personal beef is with him, but he's been doing a pretty good job of being a pain in managements a$$ ... which is good enough for me and more than any others have done. Unless you can bring something a lot better than this you should get off him dude. Your 2¢ isn't worth 1¢ IMO.

JO will always be supportive of our pilots...as long as we keep flying his planes at food stamp wages and **** poor contract language. Give us the contract that a professional deserves. Instead of being the red-headed bastard stepchild of the airline industry that mainline won't hire.
