Don't preach to me about performing at a "high level of professionalism" when the CEO of this company cavorts with new-hire flight attendants on a routine basis.

We pilots at this taco stand fly your God@&$M airplanes at a higher level of professionalism that you can ever dream of possessing.

As for "doing the job we signed up for"........why in the hell don't you practice what you preach. If you and the rest of your cohorts in upper management had any clue whatsoever, you would have figured out a year ago that you have a RETENTION issue.
F/O's, in particular, started bailing out of here because your aforementioned Boss still thinks he can get away with paying and treating people like it's 2001.

Your reference to Skywest Airlines' pilots facing the threat of furloughs is also a joke. Skywest Management has forgotten more about securing work and making money than you guys up there on the 7th floor will ever know.

Finally, with regard to your thinly veiled threat of not recommending our people for other jobs....go to hell you Jerk.

The truth is that when another company calls during their background check, you are limited, by law, to verifying Position held and dates of service. Stop trying to intimidate People with your B.S.

Goodnight Now.

Major Airlines only ask for the 5 year PRIA
HR is very aware of Mesa and their management.
They laugh at them to say the least .
Save your Ticket from any violations and check ride failures and tell your management to GFTs

I would have stayed and not made a lateral jump if MAG had desecent insurance and at least average pay. I mean it's not much to ask for, but from what I heard on every company confrence call made my heart sink. I really miss flying with a lot of the guys over there, but in the end I have to take care of my family.

That letter was a veiled threat. They are always asking us to step up but rarely if ever does management. When we were fat on FOs in DFW what did they do? They would bump the min reserve numbers up to keep everything red so you couldn't drop anything. Now they want us to help them since they can't manipulate us. Sorry Mesa. No dice. Mesa management has set the standard and I'm just following their lead.

I chuckled the whole time I read that letter. It was obvious from the beginning that it was a threat letter. Klondikes response was pretty much what I was thinking.

Heard through the grapevine that a crew came in yesterday with 28 write ups. All in the cabin. Quit flying these airplanes that are broke or ragged. Write them up.

Keep in mind that an increase in open time pickup can result in a resetting of status quo in the company's favor. Right now we are picking up X%. IF we all start picking up X+Y%. They can use that as a change in status quo if we drop back below that X+Y% ala Spirit.

I don't understand our MEC. Whose side are they on? For example: when EL emailed his letter that, IMO, was spot on, the MEC within hours put out a letter distancing itself from that letter. Now Selvaggio puts out his threat letter and what do we hear from the union? Crickets.

The union needs to put out a letter stating what other employers are able to ask for and what Mesa can say. There also needs to be guidance on what the contract says about JAs. What we legally can respond with.

Speaking of the union. Has anyone heard of what happened at the union meeting on the 16th.? What was the result of the recall vote?

The MEC is always on the pilots side. The MEC letter was probably put out because of Spirit being angry and because EL's letter was dangerously close to being a work action, which is illegal.

I would hope too that there is a letter from the MEC about that crap letter from Selvaggio. Threats like that are not cool. However, the MEC is probably busy this week with mediations.

Erik had no problem winning.

If Erik had no problem winning then perhaps the MEC is not as aligned with the pilots as they think they are.

And if Spirit and the others are that butt hurt about a comment, that happens to be the truth, then maybe I don't want to work for them.

Amen on all counts. I find it hard to believe that anyone at Spirit, Allegiant, etc, would be shocked or hurt to hear that they're not exactly on the same level as Delta or United. I wonder how much of that claim that they were all offended was actually made up a/o embellished by management and our own union officials. Eric spoke the cold, hard truth and the hiring numbers back him up. In the meantime, the union gives a pass to every outrageous claim that management dishes out. We're hoping for the union to carry us to the finish line here but, we're riding on the backs of geldings.

The Recall was requested by a council member, NOT the MEC. The MEC has no control over who is or isn't a council rep.
