CBA compliance... Just do your job
The problem at mesa is too many Meow Meow pilots there fly around broke ass planes all day then hand off to another crew without writing it up. Cant count the number of times I became the "Bad Guy" because I wrote up the broken ass airplanes, sorry i delayed your overnight or you not getting home tonight. Most pilots at mesa are spineless turds who do nothing but ***** and moan, the union this, the union that, what are my dues going to....but won't show up for a picketing event or a local council meeting. Wash the sand out, grow a set and do your job. DO ONLY YOUR JOB....!, stop carrying water for maintenance, dispatch, scheduling. FLY your contract and don't do anything more. I guarantee the wheels will fall off the bus before the end of the week if only 50% of the pilots did that.

Evolution and revolution
I see spirit pilots have stood together and put the boots to management.
We need the same. Some idiot suggested we accept stock as compensation. I say to that person to have mesa pay for the engines with stock. I cannot give my electric company stock. I need cash and more of it. If AH truly believes the bs coming out of his mouth he needs to step down immediately because he does not represent us.
I get he's a volunteer but he is only looking out for himself...(sounds familiar about mec mgmt).
The owners of this company have money.
The airlines that pay us have tons of it to just give away. (8% recent give away).
Greedy management only looking out for themselves and the senior pilots in phx.
Summer is coming, cancelations happening, more planes coming, hiring not keeping pace with attrition let alone expansion. Guess who they are going to blame when we don't fly on our time for crap pay.
Just venting and yes I'm interviewing but like spirit pilots I want things better for the people who come behind me. I don't like getting the shaft I like to make things better......for me and my coworkers not rich lying mec and management

All the guys picking up open time really aren't helping either. I scan it occasionally and see lots later in the month in multiple bases. Look a few days later and voila, it's mostly gone. As a bonus, after this whole Spirit debacle, I guess my signature is illegal. So that's cool.
What's frustrating is Spirit files for an injunction against its pilots, and a court responds in the next day or so. Our union sues over the new hire bonuses, and it's drawn out in perpetuum. Did we ever file for an actual injunction in the mean time?
While it's too late now, I said it a few pages back and I'll say it again: The moral here is to not pick up open time, during open contract negotiations or otherwise. Doing so hurts our status quo leverage when it comes time to bargain (which is more than half the time at Mesa), and statistically it means less airline pilot jobs. There's a reason Delta's contract doesn't allow pilots to work on their vacations.
