Many of those guys were pretty young when they came here. The market is ripe for moving on and they have a long career left. Aside from the general suck and Mesa's sketchiness right now, their actions probably aren't based on anything specific.

Email I was shown to senior FAs.
"Voluntary early out program" for FAs with 10+ years seniority:
Retiree travel benefits (whatever those count as, probably D-8765309 listing priority)
5k if 10 yrs longevity
750.00 each year service yrs 11-14
1k Each yr beyond 14 yrs.
Knowing half of that will go to taxes, doesn't leave much for them. Wonder if this is their way of cleaning house before the potential FA strike and mgmt planning to put people on the streets.

I apologize for the sexist attitude up front but most of the FA's are female.
So hired at 18, 12 years later you are 30, found Mr. Right, still have time to have kids. Quit, cash in, get off the sinking ship before your ankles get wet.
I would.

Wow. You probably should not submit post if you have to preface a statement with, "I apologize for the sexist attitude...".

I just recently spoke to a mesa FA and she said they will vote yes because mesa will fire all the probationary FAs and like 60% are under probation lol I rolled my eyes and asked them but do you really think they will fire all and shut the company down? She was like oh yes they've done it before... Like shooting fish in a barrel for J.O.

You mean fire them if they strike?
A.) They'd get their jobs back.
B.) Most of them will statistically leave soon anyway.
What's going on with the FA's anyway? I'm sure their strike vote passed, they just waiting for an impasse to be declared at this point? If they were ever actually granted the miracle of getting released, I think this whole Chaos thing is just child's play. Do it properly and don't go to work. Shutting it down overnight will do wonders for your bargaining position rather than cancelling a few flights a day. The only benefit I see to Chaos is that those too afraid of losing their jobs don't have to be involved, but probation or not, those people need to stand in solidarity and have skin in the game if they want to get this thing done, just as we do.
