I would have to say that since they're 121 pilots themselves, by definition, they must be fairly intelligent at the very least. Dummies don't make it to the controls of a large commercial airliner. So, give them that much credit. Now, if your problem is with their action level then perhaps you have a gripe based on past experiences. But, things seem to be changing in more recent months to the point where it has become obvious that they (at least several of them) have been genuinely and aggressively acting in our interests. Probably not AH, but several others who, yes, are smart individuals. Don't paint them all with such a broad brush and also give them credit when/where it's due. It is, after all, a voluntary job.

Back to ALPA v. Mesa Airlines, Inc. 3/2/17
I doubt the union will keep the membership informed of updates relative to the injunction request filed last month in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
I've posted the latest filings here -> https://goo.gl/n8L6gn and you may view and download at your leisure. I'll keep the documents updated with the latest-and-greatest as my spare time permits. They dropped me to reserve this month, so I guess I'll have more spare time.
Of note, Mesa has filed a motion to dismiss, and the next hearing is scheduled for April 21. Don't be dismayed by Mesa's motion; it is normal legal wrangling by the lawyers. I note Mesa has one attorney filed as appearing before the court, ALPA has four.
The document titles are self-explanatory, at least for someone with an understanding of the legal system. You may want to take the time and read Mesa's response, and at least their Exhibit 1, in full.

Thanks for uploading, lots of information there. It notes that even ALPA representatives have participated in the referral bonuses. Huh. I think by and large we have good people working hard for us, but that's a little bit discouraging.

And so the long slog begins. Plan on a glacial pace as it always benefits one side to drag proceedings into eternity.
Also, regarding a previous post, please offer thoughtful comments. I know several people on the negotiating committee, they are anything but dumb. Thanks to them for a thankless job and their efforts on our behalf.
