MAGPBS you are right some don't get it. Picketing was worthless however in my view. Mediation should have been filed for long ago when JO wasn't desperate. That is when it works best. However, now with the lawsuit on the new hire bonus and the attrition at Mesa these will force JO to negotiate something quicker then what mediation can produce, but it will take a few more months and more attrition/cancellations for that to happen. Just like Republic. I fault the union for not filing for mediation long ago and am glad they finally did. They now can say they are doing everything they can do. Other then that they seem to have recently got a fire under them to get things done and I don't know who is doing it (maybe all the JRA pilots complaining) now but it seems like you finally have union reps getting it done. I still doubt AH is responsible for this recent fire but you can't believe how happy I am to see it. I may sound harsh on here but that is because I know what every single Mesa pilot deserves and how they are treated. I was one once. I will fight for you all until you get what you deserve. Period. You are right about people picking up open time then thinking they should get a better contract. It won't happen if you are selfish. This we agree on even though we don't get along about PBS and how it works...lol
Check who was the MEC Chair during the 2003 contract that destroyed the regional airline industry and who is the MEC Chair now.
The outcome will be the same unfortunately

EXACTLY!!! New hires, beware! Look what you have settled with. There is zero future. I've put up with this circus for too long. I'm voting with my feet. Best of luck to all the great people I've met here, but I don't anticipate anything but downhill from here at Mesa. I look forward to meeting great people at a better company!

Living in IAH I would like to come work here since this is the only option. I don't want to commute so I hope you get a new contract. Currently doing a 9-5 job making captain money. Keeping current and hopefully you get that contract soon. But I'm not holding my breath as I've been waiting years.

Everyone says don't go to Mesa due to all the problems.
ExpressJet is losing ERJs which will make the base smaller. Unless some CR7s are coming in for UAL operated by XJT.
And SkyWest's IAH base is getting smaller due to less CRJ-200/700 flights and no E-Jet Ops yet.
