Perma-reserve? Deal with it like the rest of the guys/gals out online. Commuting? These recruiters knew what they were getting into going to Mesa. Circumnavigating these factors by pedaling the very issue MAG ALPA is fighting and now suing over is a joke and a question of charecter and especially when these recruiters are seniority list folks protected by their MAG ALPA.

I do however agree with you, there are other positions than being a BS recruiter to potentially avoid commuting or reserve.

Wake up you recruiters!
yeah, Kenyan!

No. This happens at pretty much all the regionals paying bonuses. The difference being that Mesa is using their bonus to attract people, paying prior to them being on property, so they are circumventing the contract. It has nothing to do with a NH making more first year than second year FOs. It just has to be agreed upon in the contract to be legal.

I thought several years ago Compass was sued by the union and the union won putting a stop to newhire bonuses. I could be wrong.

United is awarding 12 new E-Jets to Mesa. Congrats! Does this mean United sees hope in the company and they might be better?

Status quo violation by the RLA standards didn't happen until they started giving bonuses to pilots after IOE. That didn't start until a few months ago.

I know that toward the end of 2015 they were giving money to new hires to buy an IPad.

The bonuses they're now paying is being paid to new hires before they're actually hired?

Your retarded. You need to wake up and pull your head out of your @ss Our Mag Alpa is blowing smoke up your whaoo. ALPA will never win this lawsuit. SkyWest, Rjet, and Gojet unions have filed the exact same lawsuits and have all lost. The company is free to pay a sign on bonus as they please. This is just a tactic to make the union look like its doing something. As long as you have AH in the union nothing will change. Ask one of us old timers why and learn some history.

Taking this out on the people in recruiting is a low blow. I have had two of the recruiters as first officers on my flights. They are great people and both were a pleasure to fly with. I know for a fact that if we ever struck, those guys would be holding signs with us the hour it was announced. They work a job that with or without the contract has to be done. They don’t have any effect on our pay rates. Our own pilot group is just as much to blame as our union.

Granted Marcia Kolodydbagchucksuckysucky is probably the most hated person in the airline and possibly the industry… he is an embarrassment to this company and not worth the scum of the public toilet seat he was born on. Sad such a miserable excuse for a human is the face of our company. Larry R is turning in his grave.

To fix this mess we need to take the necessary actions to strike. If the flight attendants strike the pilots need to honor it. That has been a custom in our industry. I am surprised that united is giving us these new jets with this much labor unrest.
