I know guys who've joined the recruiting department to get off perma-reserve or avoid commuting, etc. I have a lot of respect for them as pilots and people, but yeah, I really wish they would've taken any other position.

You know roughly what time? If you do, I can check the flight number and look up the crew.

The bonuses only benefit people coming in the door. The program gives nothing to those already on property, and circumvents the negotiation process. This is a violation of "status quo" under the RLA. Rather than negotiate in good faith, the company has stalled negotiations and put these programs in place to band-aid the hemorrhaging staff levels.

because 1st year pilots are making more (w/ bonuses includes) than 2nd and maybe even 3rd year FO/s

I have to disagree with you. Once you start selling potential new hires on all these bonuses set forth by Marcia Kolodyzecykchuck and Mesa management, you've now become a major part of the problem and in essence spat in the face of your fellow pilots.

Perma-reserve? Deal with it like the rest of the guys/gals out online. Commuting? These recruiters knew what they were getting into going to Mesa. Circumnavigating these factors by pedaling the very issue MAG ALPA is fighting and now suing over is a joke and a question of charecter and especially when these recruiters are seniority list folks protected by their MAG ALPA.

I do however agree with you, there are other positions than being a BS recruiter to potentially avoid commuting or reserve.

Wake up you recruiters!

Have other regional airlines filed this same suit in the past? If so, did they also seek an injunction (smart) while the case works its way through the system?
