Exactly, company says "well you're making Captain pay, what's there to complain about?"
Well if we knew that was the deal we would've went to a better company to make that money and have some quality of life bidding as an FO. Mesa has no plan, and I'm about to throw in the towel.

And the new Captains, as stated above, aren't logging much PIC time.

Very true. A 4-year CA at Mesa makes about what a new hire FO at several other regionals makes.

Agreed! And PIC isn't quite as important as it used to be to many carriers. Not saying its NOT important...just saying that it doesn't have the "make or break" factor that it used to. In my opinion, someone looking for a flying job should make QOL and compensation their top priority. Bases, upgrade times, flows, etc...are all subject to change.

I'm glad the flight attendants are finally getting to a strike vote. While the gesture is more symbolic than anything, I'd imagine it would cause mainline to think twice about future contracts until labor issues get settled. Why don't the pilots follow it up with a vote of our own to turn up the heat?

You can vote whenever you want but it doesn't mean you can strike whenever you want. It simply means the association decided to strike *when able*.
