Is Mesa really where people go that have struggled else where? Is the pass rate any higher than others?

I am considering Mesa because I live in Houston
Long term opportunity in the regional world: SkyWest, definitely not Mesa.

However, if you live in IAH, and moving or commuting does not sound appealing, Mesa might in fact be the best choice.

I know several Houston people that have voluntarily come to Mesa for the IAH base and they are all very happy. By the same token I know people that have gone out of their way to go to SkyWest for all the perks and first class company culture, and they all say it was definitely worth it. So it comes down to what your priorities are. SkyWest does have an IAH base, but it was recently shrunk and you won't be getting it anytime soon, if at all.

Lets put it this way: All regionals have a share of people that have no business in the cockpit, but they slip through the cracks somehow. Mesa's cracks are wider than those at other airlines.

I don't have data on the pass rates of different regionals, but I can tell you that not everyone passes at Mesa. In fact, things seem to be getting a bit tighter lately.

Very well stated!

Freedom A pilots is the reason you got no pay raise 14 years ago and still you are the lowest pay in the industry

Those selfish pilots jumped on the opportunity and upgrade out of seniority or got hired from their flight school , very well knowing that it will hurt the Unions position during section 6 negotiations .......its the me me me attitude along with the shiny big jet outside their flight school on display.......

Now if you go on strike which I highly doubt , what do you think those Freedom A pilots who are still on your property will do?

I pride myself that I carried this company on my back and did what needed to be done at that time if you weren't here at mesa when freedom was created then you don't know the whole story and you have no right to put down freedom A guys. We didn't have a choice and to be completely honest I would do the same thing today especially if it involved flying heavy aircraft internationally.

Yeah flying an A330 for Mesa from LA to Shanghai for 70 bucks and hour sounds so appealing.

Spoken like a true scab.... Crossing picket lines for your own selfish reasons. I have taken crap jobs to make ends meet and have never and will never cross. With out integrity the entire pilot group is sunk. I know the A list is still floating around, along with the Eastern list. People do keep track of this stuff, it's a small community and we need to separate the wheat from the chaff.

You are full of S---

Can you elaborate that you had no choice?
Because I think you had a choice and you made the bad choice that's why you are still there...FYI some students from your flight school waited out didn't they ? You think they made a bad choice ? I don't think so.... I call them man and woman with integrity and not have a-- excuses jumping on the new shiny jet that was parked outside their school... ALPA and its President from Washington was there and told you it will be detrimental didn't he ?

Now if you tell me about the Freedom A s that moved on , yes they did to mostly non ALPA Airlines at the time, with the exception of few that had Daddy Captains and slip through the cracks.

FYI Freedom A list is still out
