The only way to fix this is for Mesa pilots to sack up and vote with their feet. And many of us are doing just that.

Red Roof Inn, the Quality Inn across the street (most like a "real" hotel, has its own shuttle and around $45), and the Motel 6 that's North/Northwest of the airport (cheapest, $35?, but not even shampoo). Options and crew rates in DFW suck compared to a lot of other places. If you're willing to get into the $55-$80 range, check what the employee discount site has for hotels on a given night; those three can leave a lot to be desired.

It's even worse than that. If you are eligible to upgrade, you stop getting the bonus payments. So you can't delay the upgrade in order to receive the bonus. $10k of the $30k bonus is at the four year mark. How many FOs are going to stay around that long and still not be eligible for upgrade?

I hope he gets the crj and has to use approach mode in O'Hare. Troll will learn really quick that his Embry-Riddle attitude won't get the plane back on course

Also, I went to a real college, and received a degree in economics, which is why I know how to deal with the taxes from bonuses.
